CE10: Opacity, gradients, type
Opacity in Photoshop is a great way to mix colors, achieve atmospheric perspective, and provide viewers with focal points. With the Opacity toggle, we will adjust how much or how little of a color or photo we can see.
Along with Opacity, we will talk about the Type tool: Horizontal Type, Vertical Type, Area Type and Warped Text.
You already know about selection tools: Lasso tools, Magic Wand, and Quick Selection Tool. These will be used to help us cut-out objects from their backgrounds.
You also know about Gradients are a way to achieve subtle changes in color shifting. They are indispensable way to get a “quick background”
Create 3 compositions, including the one we do together.
In each of your compositions, 1000×600 px, use at least one photo, one example of opacity change, a gradient and one use of type.
- photo object must be cut-out from background
save and post.
